- Puppets in the Park Festival at Wilson Park -

Saturday, Oct. 9th

9am-6pm

The Art Experience Inc., Center for Healing and Growth Through Expressive Arts and Play, is furthering its mission to provide an artful and playful experience for the community by presenting its annual puppet festival, “Puppets in the Park,” a day-long event at Wilson Park in Fayetteville on October 9th, 2010. The festival begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. and is free to the public.

9:00 a.m. – Festival begins at with puppet story-making and performing with children
11:30 a.m. – Break for lunch
12:30 p.m. – Music: Jules Taylor- Shakey Bugs
1:00 p.m. – Puppets: Gus and the Captain- Jo Ann Kaminsky and Erika Wilhite with Catspaw Puppet Theater
1:30 p.m. – Music: Sugar on the Floor
2:00 p.m. – Puppets: George Meyer and the Village Theater
3:00 p.m. – Music: Fork and Knife
3:30 p.m. – Marionettes: Catspaw Puppets , Jo Ann Kaminsky, Carol Widder w/ Ben Buonaiuto on Accordion
4:00 p.m. – Juggling: The Institute of Jugglology
4:30 p.m. – Wolfe at the Door
5:00 p.m. – Giant Puppet Pageant by George Meyer and Jo Ann Kaminsky
( Butterfly and star decorating through the afternoon )

Volunteers help process donations, assist with customers, and help keep store front clean and stocked with items such as furniture, household items, appliances, clothing, and more.

Hours: Tuesday - Saturday (10am to 5pm)
Volunteers must complete training & have a current TB test
Next Training Sessions: Oct. 25th 6-9pm OR Oct. 28th 6-9pm

In celebration of our Big Brother Reveal this past Sunday, we're having a fellowship specifically designed for Bigs, Littles, and Alumni to inter-mingle. We'll meet up at IHOP at 10am. If you weren't a BIG, come along anyway!! It'll be fun and a great way to get to know PC 42.
