This on-going sustainability program helps clean up more than 45 tons of recyclable material, more than a third of all the trash picked up after every game! Not only do participants in the Recycling Program get FREE t-shirts, we'll get front row seats in the student section! The Recycling Program Sign-ups for this game are already FULL, according to Steven Maulden, our VP of Service... so if you signed up, be there! It's a great opportunity for APO to champion this year's national service theme: "Get the Green Out: Making Communities Greener," and Call Those Hogs!!!

Make A Difference Day (MADD) is a national day of service sponsored by USA Weekend magazine and the Hands on Network/Points of Light Foundation. The University of Arkansas Center for Leadership and Community Engagement participates by developing projects in cooperation with local non-profit agencies, schools and city parks MADD engages over 400 students each year in service projects that provide much needed assistance to the community.

We have already achieved so much but there is much left to do! The health of our economy has improved, but unfortunately, the health of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis patients is uncertain. The Crohn's and colitis community in Arkansas is committed to continue awareness and fundraising efforts because we need to find better therapies and ultimately a cure for our friends and neighbors who struggle daily with these terrible digestive diseases.

The Art Experience Inc., Center for Healing and Growth Through Expressive Arts and Play, is furthering its mission to provide an artful and playful experience for the community by presenting its annual puppet festival, “Puppets in the Park,” a day-long event at Wilson Park in Fayetteville on October 9th, 2010. The festival begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. and is free to the public.
